About the project
KHZMU is a WordPress/WooCommerce online store that required a series of technical improvements across checkout, cart behaviour, pricing logic and overall performance. The main goal was to remove friction from the purchasing process while keeping the existing store structure and extending WooCommerce with the functionality required by the business.
What I worked on
I implemented Nova Poshta branch selection directly in the checkout flow and ensured that the selected delivery information was correctly passed into the WooCommerce order. I also fixed cart behaviour, including quantity controls, cart clearing and delayed updates, so changes were processed more reliably and without unnecessary waiting.
A custom quantity-based discount system was developed with separate rules depending on the number of products in the order. The logic also included exceptions for pallet-based products, while discount amounts and final pricing were displayed correctly throughout the cart and checkout flow.
Performance optimization was carried out across the website, with particular attention to the cart and mobile experience where delays were most noticeable. I also completed additional WooCommerce and plugin-level fixes to improve compatibility, interface behaviour and the stability of the purchasing flow.
Result
The store received a more reliable checkout and cart experience, with Nova Poshta delivery data correctly connected to orders and custom pricing rules applied automatically. At the same time, performance improvements reduced delays in key purchasing interactions and made the mobile shopping flow more responsive and practical for customers.
